Card Makers and Colorers!
Each week I like to feature a card or coloring page created by one of YOU using one of my images and uploaded to my gallery.
OMG - I LOVE this card! Karen used my dancing skeleton image (she might be the first one) to create this retro black and white creation - SO COOL!
Click the image to visit my gallery, click her thumbnail and visit Karen's Misplaced Mojo blog to see the entire card and leave her a comment.

WHAT I'M READING... (and no, this wasn't just an excuse to have a RAVEN in my Halloween newsletter...)
I have to give a second shout-out to THE RAVEN BOYS, THE DREAM THIEVES by Maggie Stiefvater. I'm listening to it on audio during my morning walks and may have to buy the print version too. There are so many brilliant instances of writing - I want to go back through and highlight and underline. Truly, I've been caught smiling and laughing out loud at Maggie's artful phraseology. How did she get so danged brilliant?
Start with THE RAVEN BOYS - the first in the series.
THE SOUTHERN FESTIVAL OF BOOKS!
CLICK HERE to read my wrap up and see me in more silly witchy garb! (This happy young reader got to wear my witchy hat.)
MY BOOKS!
Remember, one of the reasons I create my coloring pages is to draw (ha!) attention to my books. Click a cover to check them out!

LUCKY TROLLS
wilbur      I've opened an Etsy store to sell my little Love Trolls. Some people knit while watching tv - I make trolls. Each one is unique, like Maxwell here, and there are only a few of them left (just five!). I hope you'll check them out! (Click the logo or Maxwell to visit my store.)

CAN'T MISS VIDEOS...
An early, color film of 1920's London—fascinating!
(Click the image to read my post and see the video online.)

Hollins University!
Along with writing and illustrating children's books, I am also Associate Visiting Professor of Design in the Children's Book Illustration Certificate program at Hollins University. Think of it as creative camp for grown-ups with a serious professional development focus. Maybe you can join us next year? (Click the banner for more information.)

CALL FOR ART!
Have you or your children colored or created something using one of my Coloring Page Tuesday images? If you post it on a blog, you can also post it to my gallery and maybe I'll share your creation next week! (It doesn't have to be a card - I like 2-year-old scribbles too!)

Did You Know...
I create my coloring pages for teachers, librarians, booksellers, and parents to enjoy with their children, but also to let the public know about MY BOOKS. I hope you'll take a moment to check them out and spread the word! Word of mouth is the best advertising I can get, so I'm counting on YOU!
Click a cover to learn more about individual titles and download activities.
Note: All Coloring Page Tuesday images and activity pages are available for personal or non-commercial use. If you would like to purchase rights to an image for commercial use, please email me. If you have questions about usage, visit my Angel Policy page.
