Doug liked to wear dresses. In fact, he loved all things frilly and pink.
His parents found this perplexing.

They took him to therapy.

They took him to church.

But Doug couldn't be something he wasn't, so he kept wearing dresses.

Other dinosaurs found this perplexing too. They laughed and teased, "You should be extinct!"

It made Doug cry.

Doug's parents hated to see him so upset. They hugged him tight and said, "We love you just the way you are - even in dresses."

When his sister's friends came over, they played dress-up.

They covered Doug in sequins and beads and feathers. "You're one of us," they said and taught Doug the secret handshake.

Then they all ate cupcakes.

One day Doug met Frank. Frank liked to wear dresses too.

They played runway model and had a great time.

"Frank, you are beautiful," said Doug.
"No Doug, you are beautiful," said Frank.
