illustration Friday, Theme: Alone


I drew this a while back, just for fun. It gets a strong response when people see it. I suppose it resonates in some way, perhaps especially because this little fairy does look so "alone." Everybody can relate to that.

This is fab, I really like the fact that the fairy appears to have a dark sombre side, and is atypical.

Not your typical fairy at all. The face reminds me of a praying mantis. The composition is very good too by isolating him more. Beautiful :)
