Illustration Friday, Theme: Lost

Again with an image from "Teacup" - although this one didn't make it into the final dummy. I've always loved ths image though. He is so small and alone. Yes, there are cows, but they're big and dumb. Ahh, but somebody is watching - keeping an eye out for our little fuzzy hero . . . hm. Makum me happy.

I have no idea of the context of "Teacup" and can't quite identify what the little white whatzit IS, but I very much like the texture of the cows and the contrast with the crow. (And the woodducks are quite amazing!).

I love the colors ans the strong graphic feeling of this. I can't tell what the little creature is...a mouse, a cat, some small rodent? Anyway, it's very adorable amongst the cows.

i totally echo what sultry painterwoman said... you know, i'd like to hear more about "teacup." is he a doggie? i loved this image not even knowing about teacup, but now that I know about him, it makes the image all that more interesting.
