Just seeing if this works.

It can be frustrating when it feels like no one is reading or anything. But we're out here.

I've been so busy I've not had a chance to post comments on all my fav blogs - lol - (sometimes I feel like I'm stalking Elizabeth by posting too many comments) - but the first book is down, breather time and then on to the second one.

Yes your blog is working - just not the folks who usually visit you - E :)

LOL! Thanks for your concern guys! . . . I was actually testing a new blog posting program - turns out it doesn't work in blogger yet! But y'all sure made my day.

I notice you've changed your background too. Looking forward to seeing you in Decatur - wow - less than two months now. Looks like it will be a jam up festival again this year. I saw your name on the authors list but no link to you - how come?

Anyway - maybe the kinks will get worked out and your new testing thing will work for you - E :)

Elizabeth. I stumbled across your art piece of the wise old owl while searching on the Internet and I think it's great. I know owl images are a dime a dozen in the world, but because I like yours so much I was wondering if you would consider giving me permission to use it on a web site I'll be creating this year. It would be on online manuals, internet pages and other literature I might create. I would give you full credit for the artistic work, however.

Dear Craig,
You left no way for me to get in touch with you to respond to your request. I can only hope you checked the "follow-up" comments box when replying.
I'm flattered you like my artwork, however, in general, other than my coloring pages which I make available purely for personal, non-profit/non-commercial use, I expect compensation for my art. I also need to give permission for usage.
The piece I believe you are referring to , Wise Reader, already has a home and is not available for use elsewhere.
Please keep in mind, just because you can download an image from the internet does not mean you are free to use it. Also, giving me full credit for something I created is not proper compensation. Please read more in my post on the Orphan Works Bill.
Best wishes,
e

Thank you for your reply. Because I don't know if my web site will "take-off," and I'm starting off with no advertising budget, I am wondering if you would be willing to either sell me the picture, or create one very similar to it for $75 that I could keep.
