Atlanta Tornado
You've probably already seen this floating around the internet, but I wanted to keep it in my "online diary" so I could look at it again. It's really an amazing photo, by Shane Durrance, of the tornado that hit Atlanta a few weeks back. Driving close to town there are still so many blue tarps on roofs and huge trees down in people's yards. Crazy enough, hubbie and I slept through the whole thing.

Wow! I hadn't seen that. Thanks for posting it. I'm glad you're okay!
I hadn't seen it either. I had heard about it and with us being about 3 hours from Atlanta (Northeast a bit) we got a bit of it. My daughter and I were attending the school play when it came through (they actually stopped the play 20 minutes into production because our sirens were going off and then made us stay against the walls and stuff of the auditorium - didn't finish the play but it was okay). Upon leaving the school finally when things had settled down, looking at my car, the water/debris had risen to about 1/3 of the way up on my tire - so it was pretty deep in the parking lot (even with some tilt to drain off). They said we actually had some hail too. I know I saw pictures on the news a couple of days afterward of some local towns that had been hit pretty hard; and I was thankful we weren't hit harder and thankful that not many people were injured or killed by the storms - they were pretty bad in some areas.
Glad you survived it and that you are still around. Thanks for sharing the photo - E :)
